Today I have watched an interview with artist Yoshihiro Suda. He is a Japenese artist who is carving flowers and plants from wood and then painting there wood carvings. He is creating real-life like flowers and plants and says in this interview that for him the surrounding of the artwork is as important as the work itself. This resonated with me as I am placing my figures on the streets where the surrounding is also as important as the artwork I make. In my case, the interaction with/and movement of the objects is part of the work.
